Why Regular Health Checks Matter
Looking after your health isn’t about seeing a doctor when you are unwell. Regular health checks and screening appointments can help identify potential health issues early, often before symptoms appear. Early detection gives you the best chance of preventing complications and achieving better health outcomes.
Screening tests such as cervical smears, breast screening, bowel screening, diabetes checks, blood pressure monitoring, and cardiovascular risk assessments are important tools that help keep you well. Attending routine appointments also allows your healthcare team to monitor ongoing conditions, review medications, and provide advice to support a healthy lifestyle.
At Kawerau Medical Centre, we encourage all patients to stay up to date with their recommended health checks. Taking a proactive approach to your health today can make a significant difference to your wellbeing tomorrow. If you’re unsure whether you’re due for a screening or check-up, please contact our team - we’re here to help.
